At the heart of our clinic is a dedicated team of experienced and compassionate veterinarians. Each member of our team brings a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and commitment to animal health. Athanasios Houdeloudis graduated in 2013 from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds the General Practitioner Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging (GPCert) from ISVPS (United Kingdom), specializing in diagnostic imaging for companion animals.
He has completed practical training in Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Bologna (2018) through the ECVN, and in Sheffield (2022) at the facilities of Improve International under the auspices of ISVPS.
His professional interests also include Soft Tissue Surgery and Small Animal Endoscopy. Athanasios has actively participated in Greek scientific conferences, both as an attendee and as a speaker.
For the past decade, he worked at a veterinary clinic in Athens, and since February 2024 he has been a proud member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team.
Evangelos Gikas graduated from the University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno.
As part of his continuing professional development, he obtained the internationally recognized GPCert in Small Animal Medicine (SAM) from the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS), strengthening both his theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in companion animal internal medicine.
Over the past decade, he has worked in veterinary laboratories and at a veterinary clinic in Athens. Since February 2024, he has been a valued member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team.
Mara Papadopoulou graduated in 2019 from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing her degree, she worked as a trainee veterinarian in the Pathology Unit, as well as in the Orthopedics and Dentistry Units of the Veterinary School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
From 2020 to 2022, she completed her Master’s degree in Companion Animal Surgery and Intensive Care at the same university, combining her academic training with hands‑on clinical experience in veterinary clinics in both Thessaloniki and Athens.
She has actively participated in scientific conferences in Greece and abroad, both as an attendee and as a speaker. Her articles and studies have been published in Greek veterinary journals and conference proceedings.
Since August 2024, she has been a valued member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team.
Eugenia Papagiorgou graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly in September 2020. After completing her degree, she undertook a year‑long internship at the equine clinic of the Hippodrome in Athens, gaining valuable experience in the care and hospitalization of large animals.
Her growing interest in small animal medicine soon led her to focus on this field, working in various veterinary clinics across Attica. Her extensive exposure to emergency cases and surgical procedures inspired her to deepen her expertise by beginning a two‑year postgraduate program to obtain the GPCert in Emergency Medicine and Surgery from ISVPS.
Eugenia is known for her professionalism, calm demeanor, and strong dedication to providing immediate and effective care to her four‑legged patients.
She has been a valued member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since March 2024.
Myrto Karapa graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Forestry in Sofia in 2024. She then worked as a small‑animal clinician in a dermatology‑focused veterinary practice in Athens, where she gained foundational experience in clinical procedures, preventive medicine, and animal care. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development, combined with her genuine love for animals, are the qualities that define her. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since June 2025.
Konstantina Theodora Milini graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Thessaly in 2020. She went on to work for four consecutive years at a small‑animal clinic in Volos, focusing primarily on canine and feline internal medicine. In her daily clinical practice, she managed cases involving internal pathology, diagnostic workups, and therapeutic planning, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of primary and secondary care cases.
As part of her ongoing professional development, she earned the internationally recognized GPCert in Small Animal Medicine (SAM) from the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS), further strengthening her theoretical and practical expertise in companion‑animal internal medicine.
She is distinguished by her dedication to holistic, evidence‑based patient care and her continuous effort to expand her knowledge and skills through scientific training.
She has been part of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since October 2024.
Spyridon Mesiakaris graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2018. After completing his studies, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked in private veterinary clinics, gaining solid, internationally oriented experience in small‑animal clinical practice.
During the last four years of his stay in England, he worked in the Emergency Department of a hospital in Kent — a demanding environment where he managed a wide range of critical cases. Through this experience, he developed strong skills in emergency medicine, surgical intervention, and rapid decision‑making under pressure.
He has completed hands‑on advanced training in abdominal ultrasonography, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, and rhinoscopy, as well as in the surgical repair of extensive skin wounds.
In addition, he holds the internationally recognized GpCert in Emergency Medicine and Surgery from Improve International, further strengthening his expertise in modern emergency‑care techniques.
Since November 2024, he has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care scientific team, bringing frontline experience, technical proficiency, and a deep commitment to providing immediate, high‑quality care to his patients.
Olympia Georgakopoulou is a dedicated and conscientious veterinarian with many years of experience in companion‑animal internal medicine and surgery. She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly and has devoted her professional career to providing comprehensive, responsible care for dogs and cats.
As part of her ongoing scientific development, she actively participates in national veterinary conferences, where she has presented scientific papers, while staying up to date with the latest advancements in internal medicine, surgery, and preventive care. She is distinguished by her methodical approach, empathy, and continuous commitment to improving the services she provides.
Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft‑tissue surgery, and preventive medicine, with a focus on promoting long‑term wellbeing in companion animals.
Since 2025, she has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care scientific team, contributing her knowledge, experience, and compassionate care to the health of the clinic’s four‑legged patients.
Katerina Polonyfi graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly in 2024. During her studies, she completed her internship at a private veterinary clinic in Athens. After graduation, she worked at a regional veterinary clinic, gaining her first hands‑on experience in small‑animal medicine and patient care. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since June 2025.
Thomas Koutis graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021. He then successfully completed the KEDIVIM program “Specialization in Anesthesiology, Intensive Care, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging of Companion Animals” at the University of Thessaly’s Department of Surgery. During his training, he worked at a veterinary center in Karditsa, gaining substantial experience in the clinical management of medical and surgical cases in small animals.
He has actively participated in scientific conferences in Greece, both as a speaker and as an attendee, and is a member of a volunteer veterinary group involved in animal care and welfare initiatives. He is driven by continuous scientific development and further specialization in small‑animal surgery and anesthesiology.

Antonis Pliotas graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly in 2024, having already earned a degree in Agricultural Science from Democritus University of Thrace in 2019.
He is a member of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society, and as part of his ongoing scientific development, he participates in national veterinary conferences and seminars, staying up to date with the latest advancements in canine and feline internal medicine.
He is known for his perseverance and his consistent effort to approach veterinary care in a comprehensive, responsible, and dedicated manner.
He has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since November 2025.
Theodora Manolopoulou earned her degree from the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno in 2023. During her studies, she completed internships at private veterinary clinics in Prague and Brno in the Czech Republic, as well as at an exotic animal clinic in Alicante, Spain.
After graduating, she completed rotating internships at highly specialized veterinary hospitals in Valencia, Porto, and Vienna, where she gained valuable experience managing a wide range of second-opinion cases.
Her interest in surgery later led her to complete an intensive hands-on training course in emergency soft tissue surgery in the Azores, Portugal. In 2025, she returned to Athens, where she worked at a private clinic handling a high volume of first- and second-opinion cases, gaining substantial experience in day-to-day clinical practice and in performing effectively under pressure.
Her commitment to continuous professional development through the ongoing study of international veterinary literature and participation in conferences and seminars remains a central focus of her career.
She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since December 2025.
Anastasios Nikolaos Athanasiou graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021. He then completed additional training at the Diagnostic Laboratory of the university’s Veterinary Clinic, focusing on hematology, urinalysis, and cytology.
He gained significant clinical experience at a private diagnostic laboratory in Thessaloniki. At the same time, he was actively involved in neurological cases at the Department of Pathology of the Companion Animal Clinic at Aristotle University.
He subsequently completed a two-year internship in Neurology and Neurosurgery at a private clinic in Padua, Italy, under the supervision of three Diplomates of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN).
He is currently pursuing a PGCert in Small Animal Neurology (Ifevet International – UK) and actively participates in conferences in Greece and internationally, presenting and publishing in the field of veterinary neurology.
Since February 2026, he has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team.
Isabella Galatou is a small‑animal veterinary nurse with more than ten years of experience in first‑ and second‑opinion veterinary clinics. Her qualifications include an Intensive Care Unit Nursing Diploma and a Veterinary Assistant Diploma from Penn Foster (USA). She has also attended numerous seminars in the fields of veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since September 2025.
Evangelos Benekis is a graduate of the Department of Physics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His love for animals and his interest in nursing led him to pursue a career in small‑animal nursing. He is also an active member of the Hellenic Wildlife Care Association (ANIMA). He has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since September 2025.
Fotini Marini completed her Nursing Assistant specialization in 2023 and has since worked as a Veterinary Nurse in veterinary clinics. She is actively involved in initiatives aimed at raising awareness about stray animals and volunteers with animal‑welfare organizations. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since June 2025.
Maria Zoulia is a small‑animal nurse. Since 2011, she has been active in the field of animal care, beginning as a volunteer and later working as a rehabilitator at the Hellenic Wildlife Care Association ANIMA, where she gained valuable experience in wildlife support and rehabilitation. With the goal of expanding her knowledge and deepening her expertise in the nursing and care of dogs and cats, she completed her studies as a Veterinary Assistant at the SVIE School in 2025. She has also attended specialized seminars on feline behavior, neonatal care, and the nutrition of hospitalized patients.
She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since August 2025.
Marilou Isari completed her specialization as a Companion‑Animal Veterinary Assistant at a private school in Athens. She initially worked at a large private small‑animal shelter, and later, driven by her desire for professional growth and her passion for small‑animal nursing, she joined a second‑opinion veterinary clinic. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since September 2025.
Eleni Mouchtouri graduated in 2018 from the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies at the University of Ioannina’s School of Health Sciences. Since then, she has been active in the research sector, collaborating with major research institutions such as the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens and the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos.”
In 2023, she earned her Ph.D. from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, specializing in Cardiology, further strengthening her expertise and research experience at the molecular and cellular level. Since 2023, she has also served as an external collaborator for the Pharmacology Laboratory of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Her scientific interests focus on Molecular and Cellular Biology and Microbiology — fields in which she has published numerous papers in international scientific journals, demonstrating her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation.
She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since February 2024, contributing her scientific expertise to the center’s clinical and research activities.
Tzortzina Kaimaki graduated from the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Thessaly. Guided by her love for animals and her passion for rehabilitation, she continued her studies in the United States, where she completed her specialization in companion‑animal rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (USA).
With more than five years of experience in physical therapy — working with both humans and animals — she offers a comprehensive and scientifically grounded approach to rehabilitation. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care scientific team since January 2025, contributing to the clinic’s multidisciplinary care through personalized physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
Maria Stogiannou graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2013 and has over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine and quality assurance as a Veterinarian in the Hellenic Navy.
Since 2019, she has served as the Academic and Scientific Director of the “Veterinary Assistant and Companion Animal Caregiver” Program at SAEK SVIE, and since 2024 she has been an Associate of PAWsitive Vet Care.
Dimitra Kouneli is the warm, friendly face that welcomes visitors and clients to PAWsitive Vet Care. With strong organizational skills and professionalism, she manages phone calls and orders, schedules appointments, organizes the reception area, and handles a wide range of administrative tasks.
Her ability to manage multiple requests with consistency and courtesy makes her an invaluable member of the team, contributing daily to the smooth operation of the clinic and the excellent service provided to pets and their owners.
Konstantina Papandrikopoulou is a key member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team, overseeing appointment management, telephone and written communication with clients, and coordinating the clinic’s daily operations.
With organization, kindness, and a deep understanding of the needs of both people and their pets, she ensures a smooth daily workflow, providing impeccable service and continuous updates to guardians. Her presence contributes significantly to the positive experience of every visitor to the clinic.
Ioanna Dantou is a graduate of the Department of Agriculture at the University of Ioannina, specializing in Animal Science. During her studies, she actively participated in university research programs, deepening her knowledge in the fields of companion‑animal nutrition and welfare. Through her internship at our clinic, she applied her academic training in practice and continued to grow professionally. She has been a member of the PAWsitive Vet Care team since July 2025.
