Imaging Department

The PAWsitive Vet Care’s Imaging Department is one of the most advanced in veterinary medicine, offering a full range of state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic equipment for accurate evaluation and diagnosis of medical conditions.
We offer:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI scan) – This is a non‑invasive imaging technique that uses a magnetic field to produce highly detailed images of your pet’s internal organs and structures. It can be used on its own or combined with other imaging methods. Compared to X‑rays or CT scans, MRI provides superior visualization of soft tissues and structures that may not be clearly visible with other techniques. It is especially valuable for diagnosing conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and other delicate anatomical areas. Our clinic is equipped with the cutting‑edge MAGNETOM Free.Star MRI system by Siemens.
Computed Tomography (CT scan) – This is a non‑invasive imaging method that uses X‑rays to create precise cross‑sectional images of the body. It is commonly used to diagnose tumors, vascular abnormalities, and musculoskeletal conditions, and can be performed with or without contrast agents for enhanced detail. Our clinic features the advanced SOMATOM go.Now CT scanner by Siemens.
Digital X-ray – Digital radiography is the oldest and most widely used form of medical imaging. X‑rays help diagnose conditions affecting the chest, abdomen, and musculoskeletal system, such as bone fractures, bladder stones, chronic arthritis, and tumors. We also perform contrast‑enhanced radiographic studies to evaluate the digestive and urinary tracts, including cases of suspected obstruction.
Ultrasound / Echocardiography – This is a completely non‑invasive and painless diagnostic technique that uses sound waves to create real‑time images. It is used to assess internal organs and to monitor fetal health in pregnant animals. For cardiac evaluations, echocardiography provides detailed imaging of heart structure and function. Our clinic is equipped with the state‑of‑the‑art ACUSON Sequioa ultrasound system by Siemens.
