Cats are sensitive and often anxious animals, especially when they are taken out of their familiar environment. When one of our veterinarians determines that your cat’s health condition requires clinical care, hospitalization at PAWsitive Vet Care becomes necessary.

When is hospitalization needed?

The decision is made by one of our veterinarians in cases where the cat:

  • Has undergone surgery.
  • Requires 24-hour monitoring.
  • Is suffering from a serious condition or has sustained a severe injury.
  • Needs intravenous therapy or oxygen support.

Special requirements for hospitalized cats

Cats need a quiet, calm environment, away from dogs and loud noises. For this reason, PAWsitive Vet Care has a specially designed feline‑only hospitalization area. They also require gentle, careful handling by experienced staff, as stress or fear can lead to defensive or aggressive behavior. The PAWsitive Vet Care team consists of trained and certified professionals who meet strict cat‑friendly handling standards.

How you can support your cat

  • Bring familiar items, such as a favorite blanket or toy, that can help reduce stress during hospitalization.
  • Inform our staff about any specific needs your cat may have (e.g., fears, allergies, feeding habits).
  • Receive daily updates from your veterinarian about your pet’s progress.
  • Don’t hesitate to ask questions, even if they seem simple. Collaboration with the veterinary team is essential.

Visiting Policy at PAWsitive Vet Care

Our visiting policy is designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and effective care of all pets. Visiting guidelines are established based on the needs of each case, our other patients, and the smooth operation of the clinic.

  • Visiting hours: Visits are by appointment through the clinic’s front desk, Monday through Friday, 1:00–3:00 PM.
  • Up to two visitors per animal are allowed to maintain a quiet environment.
  • Visits outside these hours are permitted only in emergency cases and with approval from the attending veterinarian.

Visit duration: 10-15 minutes
